Want to remote record with Sky Plus? now you can do this with an Apple iPhone, thanks to a a couple of iPhone and iPod Touch applications – one called TV Plus and one called Tioti TV+.

TV Plus: a TV programming app for iPhone and iPod Touch

The electronic programme guide (EPG) also offers programme synopses, and you can sort channels by type. The TV Plus app lets you browse seven days of TV listings (400 channels), and schedule remote recordings on Sky Plus. (You will need a Sky Plus Remote Record account for this – visit the Sky website and set up Sky Plus Remote Record. You will also need to set your region. Your iPod Touch will need internet wifi access).

The TV Plus application was created by Ed Lea and offers a comprehensive TV guide application for the UK and Republic of Ireland. Use it wih your iPhone or the iPod Touch. (It does require the iPhone 2.1 software update.) Use TV Plus to set your Sky Plus Box to record, wherever you are – just set it up from your iPhone, or from your iPod Touch if that has wifi internet access. The latest TV Plus version lets you create a group of Favourites, and view Now and Next for those channels.

Tioti TV+: a TV programming app for iPhone and iPod Touch

The Tioti TV+ application is another programme guide for iPhone and iPod Touch that also allows you to use the Sky Plus Remote Record facility, wherever you are. This app lets you see what is on TV on hundreds of UK channels including regional TV channels and high definition (HD) TV channels. The Tioti TV+ application is available from iTunes for £1.79.

This application is called Tioti TV + and you can download it from iTunes for only £1.79.

To use Sky Plus Remote Record you will need to create a remote record account with Sky – visit the Sky website and set up Sky Plus Remote Record. You will also need to set your region. Your iPod Touch will need internet wifi access.

Like TV Plus, the Tioti TV+ application requires the iPhone 2.1 software update, comes in English only and is compatible with the iPhone and the iPod Touch.
