Get ready for Sky Go! Sky Go is a new service from Sky TV being launched on 6 July 2011 – Sky Go is being created from the merger of Sky Player (Sky’s online TV service) and Sky Mobile.

What is Sky Go?

All Sky TV customers will be able to watch a range of Sky TV channels and Sky TV programmes on mobile devices including the iPhone, iPad, PC or Mac.

How much does Sky Go cost?

For existing Sky TV customers, Sky Go will be FREE! Not yet a Sky TV customer? Join Sky TV now so you can watch Sky Go. Sky TV starts from only £19.50 a month for Sky TV and from only £29.75 a month for Sky TV with HD. If you don’t have Sky TV and don’t want to join Sky TV or Sky HD, then you will still be able to watch Sky Go by taking out a Sky Go subscription – it is thought these Sky Go subscriptions will cost from £15-£40 a month. Sky Go will be available from August to non-Sky TV customers.

What programmes and channels will be available on Sky Go?

On laptops and computers customers will be able to access more than 30 live channels, including all five Sky Sports channels, Sky Movies, Sky News, Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts, MTV, Disney, G.O.L.D, Nickelodeon, NatGeo, History, Eden and ESPN, supported by an extensive library of on-demand content.

How do I get Sky Go?

If you are already a Sky customer, simply wait until 6 July 2011 when Sky Go launches.

How much does Sky HD cost?

Sky HD packages start at only £29.75 a month – that’s made up of the cheapest Sky entertainment pack subscription of £19.50 a month (one entertainment pack) plus £10.25 a month for the HD pack. There are six entertainment packs, and after your first one further packs cost only £1 a month each. So take all six Sky entertainment packs and the Sky HD monthly pack, and it will only cost you £34.75 a month (Sky Sports and Sky Movies, Sky’s premium packs, cost extra).

Which Sky HD channels will I receive?

Sky has over 50 HD channels. The HD channels you receive will be dependent on your Sky subscription, for example if you sign up to Sky Variety you will get all the HD channels in that entertainment pack. There are also some extra bonus HD channels available such as Sky Atlantic HD.

What does the Sky HD Box do?

With the Sky HD Box you get:

1. Choose the Sky TV entertainment packs and Sky Premium packs that you want. One entertainment pack costs £19 a month and each further Sky entertainment pack costs only £1 a month, so you can have all SIX Sky entertainment packs for only £24 a month! Add any premium channels you want for an extra cost – Sky Sports (£12/month for Movies 1 or 2, £20/month for both), or / and Sky Movies (£8/month for Movies 1 or 2, £16/month for both)
2. Add your Sky HD subscription pack for only £10 a month!
3. You will also need an HD ready TV.
4. But your Sky HD Box is currently FREE with the Sky HD subscription pack
